The sudden increase in fresh COVID cases in Karnataka has given some wild speculation among the residents that the new Chief Minister is planning to impose a complete lockdown in the state. But, CM Basavaraj Bommai has clarified that his Government has no such plans to impose any lockdown and he also denied fake rumors and speculations regarding the same. R.Asoka who is the revenue minister of karnataka said the lockdown is going to worsen things for the people as it will be affecting everyone financially and so measures will be taken to control the spread, but lockdown will be impossible. 

He also added that the number of fresh cases is not increasing as expected and this small spike will not be a big problem in Bengaluru City and the City Corporation Commissioner is taking several steps such as weekend curfew and late-night lockdown in the city to control the spread of this deadly virus. cm Basavaraj Bommai also ensured to speed up the vaccination process and he promised that his government has already started to take steps to prevent the spread of the third wave and several restrictions are imposed in karnataka border from making vehicles entering from other states.
