Independence Day 2021: Check out these speech and essay ideas for students and teachers

India is all geared up to celebrate its 75th Independence Day on Sunday. On this national day, the tricolour flag is hoisted by Prime Minister and he addresses the nation from Red Fort. However, due to the current situation of the pandemic, we all will be celebrating it virtually, but it doesn’t mean that the spirit is less.

Every year, the students celebrate this day by writing speeches and essays on this day. This time, they will be doing it virtually, so we at APN News will provide you with some speech and essay sample ideas, that can help you to write your essay.

Check out the speech and essay ideas:

1.

Today is an essential day of the year for our country because it marks the completion of 75 years of Independence. I doubt hardly any of us present here who was lucky enough to hear India’s tryst of destiny on the midnight of 15th August of the year 1947.

After this, you can add about the struggles of freedom fighters who made it possible for us to be free in this country.

The blood of martyrs unless India got freedom used to haunt the country, but now that same blood that brought this country freedom is as precious as the blood being pumped in every Indian at present.

The celebration of Independence Day is done quite vastly in India. On this day, the cities and our hearts reflect the tri-colour notion of the nation’s flag, and the anthem can be heard from different directions.

You can conclude the essay by writing how much you like this day, or you can go down memory lane to tell about how you used to celebrate Independence Day in pre-pandemic days.

2.

After the struggle of almost two hundred years, on the dawn of this day exactly 73 years ago, India was freed from the shackles of foreign rule. The declaration of freedom was probably the happiest thing that could have happened to India.

In the span of those two hundred years before 1947, Indians had to suffer from endless pains that were caused by the Britishers. British rulers did racial discrimination, political and social, oppression, execution of crowds that rebelled, and many more such evils. After much struggle, sacrifices, and continuous hardships, our freedom fighters were able to overthrow the faulty ruling system of Britishers.

After this, you can add about the events that are organised on this day and how people celebrate this day. In the concluding paragraph, you can talk about the history of Independence Day and how we got freedom from Britishers.

3.

To relive the moment and to enjoy the spirit of freedom and independence we celebrate Independence Day. Another reason is to remember the sacrifices and lives we have lost in this struggle. Besides, we celebrated it to remind us that this freedom that we enjoy is earned the hard way.

Apart from that, the celebration wakes up the patriot inside us. Along with celebration, the young generation is acquainted with the struggles of the people who lived at that time.

For almost two centuries the Britishers ruled over us. And the citizen of the country suffered a lot due to these oppressors. British officials treat us like slaves until we manage to fight back against them.

Ahead of 75th Independence Day, we at APN News are wishing you a very happy Independence Day.
