With a motto “vaccinating all”, a team of Panchkula Health Department today crossed a knee-deep river to administer the Covid vaccine to the people in the remote areas of Morni.
A team from Primary Health Centre in Morni, including Dr Ujjwal, a hygiene inspector and two ANMs, vaccinated as many as 154 people in Rewari, Dabsu and Sirmara villages.
Dr Meenu Sasan, District Immunisation Officer, said: “It shows the dedication and hard work of our health workers towards their job.”
Vaccinating the homeless
The Panchkula Health Department, meanwhile, organised a special vaccination camp for beggars and homeless at Mata Mansa Devi temple here today.
Over 4.5 lakh doses administered
As many as 3,629 people were given the Covid vaccine at 27 government and three private centres in the district today.
Overall, 4.54 lakh vaccine doses have been administered in the district so far. Over 36 per cent (1.21 lakh) of the targeted 3.86 lakh population (18+ age group) have been fully vaccinated.
