While Day 1 saw India dominate with the bat, Day 2 started off the way England wanted at the Lord's. Set batsman KL Rahul and his partner Ajinkya Rahane both were dismissed within the first hour of play on the second day.
Ollie Robinson was the bowler who sent back centurion Rahul and the dismissal was surely bizarre. It was a buffet ball and was pitched up outside off. The Indian opener went for that high elbow drive but failed to keep it down and the fielder at cover took it with ease. Rahul had to depart for 129 off 250 balls.
The second wicket followed soon after as James Anderson stuck on his very first ball on Day 2. Rahane was edged and gone. The ball took the edge for the man at slip to take a low catch and India lost two quick wickets.
As for the clash, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja are at the crease. India have 283 runs on the board and have lost five wickets. Both teams will be sporting red today to support the Ruth Strauss foundation.
