Loose Women: Emmerdale’s Danny Miller says he was filming barn explosion scene when he learned girlfriend was pregnant

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has hit out at this year’s Love Island contestants in a vicious rant.

The 30-year-old star, who plays Aaron Dingle on the ITV soap, appeared to blast islander Faye Winter as he mocked her ‘shades of lipstick’ and called the entire cast b***ends on Twitter.

Danny, who found love with his fiancée Steph Jones six years ago, also blasted the whole concept of the hit reality show as he insisted that it’s impossible for anyone to find true love in the unnatural setting of the villa.

In a sweary rant, Danny shared his concern for the younger generations in society who ‘look up’ to the dating show.

The Emmerdale actor penned: “We live in a world where our younger generation are pushed to ‘find love’ in a villa with the biggest bunch of b***ends you’d ever meet in your life.

“Aged 24 and ‘found love’ on a TV show with a girl who has 72 different shades of lipstick colours that make you want to give up.”

Danny’s rather furious rant divided his fanbase as several flocked to agree with the star’s opinion, while others insisted that he was too harsh on the contestants.

“Couldn’t have said it better myself man. These people are wanna-be celebrities who go on the show for fame and not love,” replied one Love Island hater.

Another echoed: “Faye’s lipstick has turned me off watching it. No joke.”

“Yeah, I just can’t warm to the idea of this show no matter how hard I try,” someone else shared.

On the other side of the coin though, more Love Island fans flocked to tell Danny to give the show ‘a chance’.

“You obviously haven’t given the show a chance and have just turned on the TV with a pre-conceived idea of what it’s all about,” suggested one Twitter user.

While another fumed: “Gosh, it’s an entertainment show. It’s fun. Take a chill pill and go back to bed old man.”

Although the islanders may currently be on the hunt for love, the same can’t be said for Danny who is gearing up to tie the knot with his longterm love.

The lovebirds first met at primary school, and now Danny is set to make his childhood sweetheart his wife.

Danny and Steph, who have been dating for over two years, are currently expecting their first child together.
