Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 18.48 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 7.86 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 7.31 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 6.20 crore), NALCO (numbers of share traded: 3.94 crore), Ashok Leyland (numbers of share traded: 3.65 crore), Tata Motors (numbers of share traded: 3.49 crore), Zomato Ltd. (numbers of share traded: 3.37 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 3.14 crore) and Vakrangee (numbers of share traded: 3.06 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 164.7 points up at 16529.1, while BSE Sensex ended up 593.31 points at 55437.29.

On the other hand, Eicher Motors Ltd. (down 2.67 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. (down 1.36 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 1.20 per cent), Cipla Ltd. (down 1.20 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd. (down 1.14 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
