Australian surfers win Mexico double
It was an Australia Day party in Mexico with Stephanie Gilmore and rookie Jack Robinson winning a rare surfing double at the Corona Open at Barra de la Cruz.
Olympian Gilmore had a triumph in the final over Hawaii's Malia Manuel, while 23-year-old West Australian beat Brazilian Deivid Silva in his decider.
It was the best result for Robinson at a WSL event and the only Australian men's victory this season, while it was seven-time world champion Gilmore's first title of the year.
