Security Forces arrest HM terrorist in Kishtwar, arms-ammo recovered

Jammu, Aug 13 (UNI) Security forces on Friday arrested one more Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terrorist with arms and ammunitions in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

"The third person, who joined militant ranks a few days back, has also been arrested in a joint operation by joint teams of police, Army and CRPF from Kulna forest area of Patimahalla Palmar," a senior police officer here said.

He identified the arrested terrorist as Muzamil Hussain Shah of Meerna Patimahalla, Palmar, District Kistwar.

The officer said that one grenade, one Ak magazine and 30 Ak rounds were also recovered from his possession.

He is one of the companions of two Hizbul terrorists who were arrested on August 9.

"The trio went missing on August 5, 2021 but Mujammil returned back on August 6," Police sources said, adding that the two others were arrested on August 9.

On August 7, it was reliably learnt that both the missing youth have joined a terrorist organisation of HM outfit with an intention to endanger the integrity and sovereignty of the Country following which a case was registered at Police Station Dacchan under sections 13/18-B Unlawful Activities (P) and further investigation is in progress.
