Patna, Aug 13 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday ordered for assessment of
damage of paddy sowing due to floods in the state.
Mr Kumar, after conducting survey of flood hit areas, held a high level meeting with senior
officials to review measures being taken to provide relief to affected people in the state.
In the meeting, he directed officials for assessment of damage caused to paddy sowing
due to floods in Bihar.
Chief Minister directed all District Magistrates of flood hit areas to remain in contact with
people living in distress.
Constant monitoring should be done to assess requirement of flood victims and steps
should be taken to provide relief to them as soon as possible, he added.
Mr Kumar during his visit to flood hit areas, also personally took account of arrangements
made in community kitchen.
He also talked to those taking meals in community kitchen and sought o know their views
on arrangements made for them.
Chief Minister visited vaccination centre and personally assessed arrangements made for
vaccinating the people.
He directed for testings of all those who had been lost in relief Centre opened for flood
victims.
Those found Corona positive should be shifted to separate relief Centre, he directed.
