Imphal, August 12 2021: All arrangements have been made for organising Fit India Freedom Runs 2.0, a nation wide programme, in Manipur, said the State Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Imphal in a press release issued today.

It informed that the main event will be launched in the Indian National Army Martyrs Memorial Complex, Moirang in Bishnupur District on 13th of August 2021 along with one event in Pherzawl to coincide with the nationwide launch.

Senapati, Chandel, Churachandpur, Imphal East districts will host the event on 14th of August 202.Districts of Imphal West and Jiribam will organise the run on 21st August, Kakching, Kamjong and Noney on 28th August and five districts namely Ukhrul, Thoubal, Tengnoupal ,Tamenglong and Senapati (Kangpokpi) will run on 4th September.

Youth clubs, sports persons, local authorities, army personnel, social influencers and people from different walks of life across different villages will join the run.

It also stated that the Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Anurag Singh Thakur will launch the Nationwide programme of Fit India Freedom Runs 2.0 on 13th August at Delhi in the morning.

Minister of State, Youth Affairs & Sports, Nisith Pramanik will also join the launch event, where organizations like BSF, CISF, CRPF, Railways, NYKS, ITBP, NSG, SSB would also join virtually from iconic locations across the country.

Meanwhile, resounding with various government departments and organizations, Nehru Yuva Kendra Chandel, Manipur will also be conducting Fit India Freedom Run at the District Head Quarters on 14th August 2021 with Rajkumar Mayanglambam, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Chandel as chief guest, who will also flag off the run.

The run will begin from Indoor stadium to DC office Complex.

75 villages under NYK Chandel will also undertake the Fit India Freedom run.
