The Rajasthan government has decided to reopen all universities, colleges and schools for classes 9 to 12 with 50% strength from September 1. The government has also allowed coaching institutes and other education institutes to start classes on the same date. The state home department issued the guidelines in this regard late Thursday evening. The decision was based on recommendations made by a five-member ministerial committee that had submitted its report to chief minister Ashok Gehlot early this week. Bengal government eases Covid night restrictions by 2 hours
The Bengal government on Thursday extended the Covid restrictions till August 30 but allowed some easing of norms. The daily night restriction on movement and staying out has been pushed to 11pm instead of the prevailing 9pm, while swimming pools and auditoriums will be allowed to function at 50% capacity.
