Here's Why Joey King's Hair in 'The Kissing Booth 3' Is Still a Wig (Except for This One Scene)

The new movie The Kissing Booth 3 is currently the number one movie on Netflix and we have a behind-the-scenes detail that you might not have noticed!

Joey King was actually wearing a wig throughout the third movie, just like she was in the second movie.

Joey filmed The Kissing Booth 2 and The Kissing Booth 3 back-to-back in South Africa during the summer and fall of 2019. Earlier that year, she shaved her head for her role as Gypsy Rose Blanchard in the Hulu series The Act and her hair was still short when she started work on the sequels.

Last year, Joey took to Instagram on the The Kissing Booth 2‘s release day to share a video of her in the hair and makeup chair, which you can watch below.

At the end of The Kissing Booth 3, we see Joey‘s character Elle Evans six years in the future and she has a pixie cut. That was her real hair at the time!
