After missing out on a century by a few runs in the first Test, Indian opening batsman KL Rahul made up for it and more on the first day of the second Test against England at Lord's. Rahul, who started his innings plating the second fiddle to Rohit Sharma, who was flying and going after England's bowlers, came into his own after the latter departed and dictated terms in the proceedings of the first day.

Rahul accelerated like a champion as Rohit had started to time the ball in the latter part of his innings. Rahul had scored just 17 runs when Rohit was on 81, the latter scored just two more runs before James Anderson dismissed him and Rahul had made 16 more runs till then. After which, Rahul just accelerate scoring 18 runs off his next 19 balls to notch up his 13th fifty in Test matches.

Cheteshwar Pujara went early but Rahul found an able ally in skipper Virat Kohli and both made a mockery of England's attack. Rahul just kept continuing and completed his well-deserved century in front of the packed Lord's crowd and got his name registered on the honours board.

Fans, experts, journalists, former cricketers were delighted with Rahul's knock, but there was someone special as well, who couldn't stop gushing over him, his rumoured girlfriend Athiya Shetty.

The rumours of Athiya and Rahul have been there for more than a couple of years as both have been seen publicly together many times and seen replying to and mentioning each other, posting about each other on social media.

Now, on Thursday, Athiya put a video on her Instagram story, with a heart emoji where Rahul is celebrating his hundred and soaking in the crowd's applause after a terrific knock.

India ended the day on 276/3 as apart from winning the toss, nothing went right for England and the opposite for India as they dominated the hosts at the Home of Cricket.
