Afghanistan: Taliban capture Kunduz airbase, seize India-gifted MI-24 attack helicopter

Since the final phase of the US withdrawal began in May, Taliban fighters have gained control of the northern part of the country. The Taliban control about two-thirds of Afghanistan. Concerned with developments in Afghanistan, India has asked its citizens to leave Afghanistan in view of escalation in violence. India also evacuated its diplomats and personnel from the consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif.
