Simple Energy, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up, has announced pre-booking amount for its flagship electric scooter, Simple One. The Simple One will be launched on August 15, 2021, and pre-bookings will begin the same day from 5 pm onwards, for an amount of ₹ 1,947. The Simple One can be booked from the company's official website, and the pre-bookings are open pan-India, and the amount is refundable, the company said in an official announcement. When production of the Simple One begins, the pre-orders will be given priority delivery, the company added.

The Simple One's 4.8 kWh removable battery pack will weigh over 6 kg and offer 240 km claimed range in Eco mode
Simple Energy also shared some information on the portable battery pack. The battery pack will weigh just over 6 kg, and can be removed from the electric scooter to be carried indoors for re-charging. The battery will be a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, which will provide a claimed range of 240 km in Eco mode, top speed of 100 kmph, and 0 to 50 kmph acceleration in 3.6 seconds. The Simple One will have a mid-drive electric motor, with a futuristic design. The Simple One will also have smart features like a touchscreen instrument console, onboard navigation, as well as Bluetooth connectivity. More details will be revealed on August 15, 2021.

The Simple One electric scooter will be priced between ₹ 1,10,000 and ₹ 1,20,000 and will have a top speed of 100 kmph. It will compete with the Ather 450X, as well as the upcoming Ola electric scooter.
The Simple One electric scooter will be priced at between ₹ 1,10,000 to ₹ 1,20,000, and will be launched in 13 states in India in the first phase. The company is also working on a 2,00,000 square feet factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Simple Energy intends to produce 1 million scooters annually in Phase 1 of its factory operations. We will of course, be riding the Simple One soon after its launch, and will give our first impressions of this new electric scooter, which will compete with the likes of the Ather 450X, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak electric scooters.
