Magda Szubanski, 60, goes incognito for a lockdown stroll as she steps out in Melbourne wearing sunglasses and a beanie

She's one of Australia's most recognisable comedians.

But fans had a hard time recognising Magda Szubanski, 60, as she stepped out in Melbourne for a stroll on Thursday.

Revealing little more than a few centimetres of flesh, The Weakest Link host covered up from head to to in a beanie, hooded jacket and track pants.

Her face was almost entirely concealed beneath a pair of round-framed sunglasses and blue face-mask, while the cuffs of her jacket were pulled down to cover her hands.

Magda walked in a pair of black sneakers and listened to music through a set of AirPods.

The sighting comes after Magda put forward a novel method to encourage Australians to get the Covid vaccine amid the nation's Delta crisis.

'What people desperately need in this pandemic is two things- cash and jabs,' she Tweeted on Sunday.

'Why not $300 payment for jabs and kill two birds with one stone? And anyone who doesn’t need the cash could donate to others who do,' she added.

It comes as Magda's home city of Melbourne prepares to enter another week of lockdown after the stay-at-home orders were extended on Wednesday.
