Viasat to accept cash payment for satellite internet at 21,000 Mexican convenience stores

Satellite-based operator Viasat announced a deal allowing clients in Mexico to pay for its internet service in cash at convenience stores belonging to retail chain Oxxo. Cash accounts for around 90 percent of transactions in Mexico and the deal allows consumers and businesses without access to bank accounts or credit cards to use one of 21,000 participating Oxxo outlets instead.
