Salman Khan makes Olympic silver medalist Mirabai Chanu's dream come true, meets the weightlifter with a warm hug in Mumbai

Tokyo Olympics 2020 may be over but Indians are not yet done celebrating the people that brought laurels for the country. The outpouring of love continues for the winners on various social media platforms. Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu opened India's account with a silver in the women’s 49kg weightlifting category when she lifted a total of 202kg. After her win and glorious return to her hometown of Manipur, Chanu, in an interview had revealed that Salman Khan is her favourite actor. She was quoted as saying, 'Salman Khan mujhe bahut hi pasand hai. Unki body structure, sab pasand hai.' Well, looks like the star athlete didn't have to wait long to come face to face with her favourite actor. To everyone's delight, Salman Khan has now shared a picture with Chanu on his Instagram account, wishing her all the best for her future endeavours. In the picture, the superstar is seen wearing a traditional Manipuri scarf as he gives Chanu a big hug. Sharing the photo, Salman wrote, 'Happy for u silver medalist @mirabai_chanu .. lovely meeting with u … best wishes always!' Mirabai Chanu is in Mumbai and apart from Salman, she has also met cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Mirabai Chanu also reposted the photo and wrote, 'Thank you so much, @BeingSalmanKhan sir. I am a big fan of you and it was like a dream come true for me.' When Chanu won the medal, Salman had taken to social media to congratulate the weightlifter. Calling the medalist 'asli dabangg', the actor wrote, 'Congratulations @mirabai_chanu on becoming a nation’s superstar today! You made us proud & how!! Aap to asli dabangg nikli! #Tokyo2020 #TeamIndia.' Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman was last seen in 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai', which also starred Disha Patani. He will next be seen in 'Antim: The Final Truth' co-starring his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma.
