The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced the implementation of a temporary traffic closure from Friday for a month on part of the intersection of Omar Al Mukhtar Street with Al Jamiaa Street. The left-turn lanes of the intersection leading from Omar Al Mukhtar Street to Al Jamiaa Street and vice versa will be closed, while keeping the other lanes of the intersection open to traffic, as shown on the map. The temporary closure, in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, aims to carry out excavation works to develop sewage and storm water networks in the area. Ashghal will install signboards to alert road users to this traffic change, and urged all to adhere to the permitted speed limits and follow the signboards to ensure safety.
