Goa records 88 more COVID cases

Goa recorded 88 new COVID-19 cases, and two more deaths linked to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of active COVID-19 cases to 993.

The positivity rate of the total 5,229 samples tested on Thursday is 1.68 per cent. The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 1,72,276 of which 1,68,117 patients have defeated the deadly disease. Till date 3,166 patients have succumbed to the disease.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 97 cases, Vasco – 15 cases, Panaji- 65 cases and Mapusa – 26 cases.

While the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 50 cases, Bicholim – 10 cases, Pernem – 25 cases, Valpoi – 24 cases, Curchorem – 25 cases and Canacona – 27 cases.

And, the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 27 cases, Betki – 17 cases, Candolim- 29 cases, Cansarvanem – 13 cases, Colvale – 25 cases, Corlim – 31 cases, Chimbel – 37 cases, Siolim – 28 cases, Porvorim- 31 cases, Mayem – 4 cases, Balli – 29 cases, Cansaulim – 62 cases, Chinchinim – 29 cases, Cortalim – 52 cases, Curtorim – 36 cases, Loutolim – 16 cases, Marcaim – 15 cases, Quepem – 21 cases, Sanguem – 39 cases, Shiroda- 20 cases, Dharbandora – 13 cases, Ponda – 36 cases and Navelim – 19
cases.
