Stormzy looks thrilled as he unveils his Madame Tussauds wax figure dressed in a replica Banksy stab vest from his Glastonbury 2019 headline set

He has 31 awards, two UK number one albums, a book publishing imprint and a University of Cambridge scholarship programme to his name.

So it's only fitting that Stormzy has been immortalised by London's Madame Tussauds in the form of a wax figure, which will go on display in the Culture Zone.

The grime artist looked thrilled as he unveiled the effigy on Wednesday night, posing with the statue dressed in a replica Banksy stab vest from his Glastonbury 2019 headline set.

Stormzy couldn't wipe the smile from his face as he stood next to the wax work, while hoards of photographers and fans snapped away.

The effigy, which commands a powerful stance, is incredibly life-like, with every detail painted to perfection by experts.

As well as his famous union jack stab vest, the wax work is dressed in khaki combats and sees Stormzi with earpieces in.

At the end of July on his 28th birthday, the Vossi Bop hitmaker brought along his young nephew for the statue's very first private reveal.

In a video shared to the attraction's Twitter page Stormzy, who sported a casual white vest, can be heard saying: 'That's scary cuz,' in the moment when he came face-to-face with his doppleganger, which is not visible in the clip.

'Oh my days,' he uttered, before falling into hysterics of laughter and adding: 'You never see yourself, that's rahhh, that was mad.'

At another point in the sweet clip, the Croydon-born rapper's nephew tugged on the masterpiece's clothes, saying, 'Uncle Junior isn't moving. Is that Uncle Junior?'

The grime artist tiptoed his way out of a hiding place to prank the tot, who shouted, 'Hey, you scared me!'

Showcasing his clone to his mum, Stormzy (whose real name is Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr.) fell into a fit of giggles when she questioned, 'How did you do that?'

He went on to explain that it was a Madame Tussauds waxwork but a bad phone signal caused her to hear 'barbecue sauce' instead.
