OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T are now receiving the Android 11 stable update after being a part of the Android 11 beta program for a short while. The last beta update which was the third Open Beta came out just a couple of days back and now the two phones are receiving the stable update.

The stable Oxygen OS 11 update based on Android 11 is 2009MB in size and it includes all the core features of Android 11 as well as other features introduced by OnePlus like the Ambient Display that draws a wireframe picture based on what stays on the lock screen photo. The stock camera application has received UI enhancements too. Also, there is a newly added gaming tools box for convenient switches of Fnatic mode. A new Shelf design is also introduced.

It is a phased rollout, which means it will first be rolled out to a handful of users. Once OnePlus examines that the rollout is smooth, it will begin a wider rollout. Go to Settings> System> System Updates, if you want to check for updates manually.

It is interesting that 3-year old phones from OnePlus are also receiving the Android 11 update. But it took a long time for the company to roll out the update to the users. However, it didn’t long for the company to release a stable update after beta updates. It started the beta upgrade cycle in July only and released three updates subsequently.
