Douglas’ Jack Murphy continued his successful season with victory in the Munster Under 15 Boys Close at Newcastle West.

Crowned Leinster Under 16 champion earlier this season, Murphy made three birdies and three bogeys in a level par 71 to win by four strokes from Ballykisteen’s Gordan Sillet and Tipperary’s Donncha Cleary.

Kinsale’s Eoghan Cassidy won the Munster U17 title, topping a field of 70 as he carded a level-par 71

Cassidy finished on level par to win the Under-17 title, despite bogeys on 17 and 18, to beat Limerick’s Luca Lyons by a stroke.

The trio of Ballykisteen’s Ewan McLoughlin, Fota Island’s Matthew Kelleher and Clonmel’s Killian Butler finished in a tie for third, four shots further back.
