Mercedes-Benz India ties up with DSEU for Automotive Mechatronics course

Mercedes-Benz India, a renowned luxury carmaker, announced it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU). They will provide a one-year Advanced Diploma in Automotive Mechatronics (ADAM) course.

The program will be conducted by Mercedes-Benz India with the help of educational institutions to meet the requirements of the automotive industry. The students will also get a hands-on training experience via factory visits to Mercedes Benz India's Pune plant that will let them connect with industry professionals.

Shekhar Bhide, Vice President - Customer Services, Mercedes-Benz India, said that through the initiative, the company was extending its support for the government's skill development initiative. He added that the course is best suited for aspiring students wanting a bright career in the automotive industry.

Neharika Vohra, Vice-Chancellor, DSEU, commented that students who dream to work for distinguished automobile firms would benefit from this advanced course. She added that even faculty would benefit by getting insights and a new perspective from the field.

Mercedes-Benz India started the Mechatronics training school in 2006. The company and its dealership network started the program to train students and address the requirements of Mercedes-Benz technology and innovation. Since its inception, 660 students have completed the course and placed in the automobile industry.
