Thane reports 41 new Covid-19 cases, two deaths

THANE: The Thane area reported 41 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, said the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC). The total number of positive cases in Thane climbed to 1,32,369.
Also, 51 people were discharged from hospitals post-recovery today. The total number of positive patients recovered and discharged till date stands at 1,33,743.
Presently, there are 555 active cases in Thane.
Two people with co-morbidities succumbed to the deadly virus on Thursday. The death toll reached 2,071 till date.
The recovery rate in the TMC area is 98.07 per cent and the doubling rate is 2,241.
Meanwhile, 17 people tested positive for coronavirus in Majiwada-Manpada, followed by 10 in Naupada, 4 in Vartak Nagar, one in Lokmanyanagar and three each in Uthalsar, Wagale and Kalwa.
