The first quarter of the fiscal year saw most Indian pharma majors struggle to grow revenues and margins in the North America market as ‘unprecedented’ double-digit price erosion in generics hit them hard. Companies like Zydus Cadila, Torrent Pharma, Lupin, Strides posted a dip in US revenues while others like Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL), Cipla posted low single-digit growth.
