An ingenious Australian has used a remote-controlled car with an attached camera and money box to go shopping from his house.
Ben Williams attached a plastic container with some cash and a handwritten shopping list to the car and drives it to the shops in locked-down Newcastle.
In a video posted online, he drives the car to his local service station to buy some ice cream with the help of other shoppers.

The little car travels approximately 300m to the nearest service station to pick up goods for his owner (pictured)
While the shop attendants are confused at first, one soon finds the note inside the container reading 'Ice cream x 2 please'.
Realising the genius plan, he leads the car over to the ice cream stand, showing it different options.
'It's an RC-Uber,' he laughs, clearly amused.
Using cues from the car moving, such as wriggling the front wheels for no, they pick out some ice cream and the worker takes the cash out and puts the change back in.

'I couldn't take my eyes off this video, it's amazing,' commented one fan.
'The employee's laugh was so wholesome, you probably made his day,' wrote another.
One TikTok user with a keen eye spotted a funny detail about the car: 'I just noticed it's wearing a mask!'
The car, who Mr Williams named Butler, is altered to fit the plastic tub and two cameras on, one for filming the expedition and one to give a wider field of vision for Ben when he is driving around.

Butler, travelling about 300m to his local service station, has picked up a wide range of items, usually snacks for his owner.
In an interview with the ABC, Ben said he describes his content as adventure videos, hoping to add some wholesome content that makes people happy and smile.
He said the idea started pre-Covid, but when the pandemic hit, his unusual hobby took on a whole new meaning.
