Star of infamous '90s Razzamatazz commercial that featured a man filming up a woman's skirt says his character would be jailed today
Nineties model Nathan Harvey has reflected on one of this most controversial jobs.
In 1991, the former heartthrob starred in a commercial for Razzamatazz hosiery, which saw him follow a woman around with a video camera.
At one point, he attempts to film up her skirt after becoming enticed by her trim pins in the brand's stockings.

In an op-ed for Nine Honey, the 50-year-old said that the advert would never air today and that his character would be locked up.

'When I put my ad up on Facebook, it created a lot of interesting discussion about the '90s and now; about how these days, if you did what I did in that ad you'd be put in jail,' he wrote.
'It seems unbelievable now that the ad stayed on air for as long as it did, but it did!'

However, despite acknowledging the problematic nature of the commercial, Nathan said that it was a product of its time.
'It was a time when Hoges and Rodney Rude were doing Banana Chair sit-ups with bikini-clad stunners and writing obscenely incorrect songs,' he said.
'Put simply, it was fun. The world had a naivety and innocence to it that didn't propagate fear, paranoia and mistrust.'

Many Australians will remember Channel V presenter Nathan as the ultimate Generation X heartthrob.
The former model, known for his sandy-haired surfer look, was a hit with the ladies while hosting Foxtel's popular music station in the mid-1990s.
Looking back on his fame during the grunge era, Nathan told Woman's Day this week that things became too much for him and he retreated from the spotlight.

'I turned into a loose cannon,' he said. 'I started to believe in my own publicity.'

The Australian indie label is responsible for recording the likes of INXS and Silverchair.

Nathan had been working as an airport dispatcher after quitting showbusiness, but took the last year off to pursue his music career.
He is performing under the stage name Mr Harvey and specialises in a variety of genres, including country-style ballads.
For Nathan, his new career is no longer about making money or chasing fame, but instead about expressing himself.

'I've had a little taste of [money and fame] back in the day and they are both overrated,' he said. 'Now I've got things to say and want to be heard.'
Nathan admitted he was still a 'little green' as a musician, but was grateful to be getting a 'second chance' at the age of 49.
The former pin-up appeared on Foxtel's Channel V as a presenter from 1996 to 1999, and on Channel 10's Level 23 from 1995 to 1996.
He also featured in magazines aimed at teenage girls, including Girlfriend.
