Education dept. employees remanded

Nashik, Aug 11 (UNI) Two employees of the education department who was arrested in connection with a bribery case on Tuesday was remanded to police custody till August 13 . when police produced them before the local court of Nashik on Wednesday (today). Meanwhile Nashik Secondary Education Officer Dr. Vaishali Pankaj Vir-Zankar was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.8 lakh was fled away, police said
The controversial corrupt Zilla Parishad Secondary Education Officer Dr. Vaishali Vir-Zankar has fled away. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had issued summons to the relatives of Dr Vaishali Vir as the female suspect could not be arrested after sunset yesterday (Tuesday) evening. However, she did not arrive at the Bhadrakali police station this morning and it is understood that she did not appear in court .
While accepting a bribe of Rs 8 lakh, Zilla Parishad Secondary Education Officer Dr Vaishali Pankaj Zankar's driver and a teacher were arrested. The interrogation of the two started at night. A case was registered at Bhadrakali police station in the morning today.
Meanwhile, Dr Zankar was asked to be present at the Bhadrakali police station at 8 am. But she did not show up here. The two suspects were produced before the court by the police this afternoon. Even this time, Dr. Vaishali Zankar was not present, so he had fled away somewhere.
The local court remanded police to two employees of the education department as Pankaj Ramesh Deshputre (teacher ) and driver Dnyaneshwar Suryakant Yeole remanded police custody till August 13 when police produced them before the court.
