    Sensex falls! These stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

    In the Nifty pack, 24 stocks closed in the green, while 26 stocks ended in the red.

    NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 28.73 points down at 54525.93 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

    On the BSE, Sequent Scientific (down 14.68 per cent), Jyoti Ltd (down 13.09 per cent), JTL Infra (down 12.80 per cent), Billwin Industries L (down 12.65 per cent) and Tarini International (down 12.28 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

    In the Nifty pack, 24 stocks closed in the green, while 26 stocks ended in the red.

    The index closed 2.15 points up at 16282.25.

    On the BSE, Gautam Gems, Trio Mercantile, PC Products, Grandeur Prods and Kemistar Corp hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Inland Printers, Jubilant Ingrevia Ltd., Hikal Ltd, Nelco Ltd and Enterprise Intnl touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
