How to undo hidden chats in WhatsApp
WhatsApp recently expanded its chat archive feature to groups. The feature, which was earlier limited to individual chats, now allows WhatsApp users to hide group chats as well. This means both individual and group chats can be archived in order to manage and organise the conversations better.

If you don’t know how to archive an individual chat or group, click here to read our step-by-step guide. Now that you’ve learnt how to archive a chat in WhatsApp, here’s how to remove them from the archive list.

Here are a few things you should know about archiving chats in WhatsApp:
Do understand that archiving a chat doesn’t mean that the chats will be deleted or backed up in the SD card. Also, an archived chat will remain in the Archive section of the app even if you receive a new message in that group or individual. But, you won’t be notified of new messages for the archived chats or groups.

How to remove chats or groups from WhatsApp Archive

1.

Open WhatsApp and scroll to the bottom of the ‘Chats’ section

2.

Here you’ll find an Archive option, tap on that

3.

Now, tap and hold the individual or group chat you want to unarchive

4.

Choose the Unarchive option at the top of the screen

Alternatively, you can also set WhatsApp to automatically unarchive a chat when you receive a new message from that individual or in the group.

To do this, head to the Chats tab, tap on More options and head to Settings. Choose the Chats option and turn off the Keep chats archived option.
