Senapati, August 10 2021:
The United Naga Council (UNC) has appealed to "all the district apex organizations, tribe hohos and all village chiefs, village chairmen, women organizations, student bodies, the Church and religious organizations" under its jurisdiction to "prayerfully" observe the "Naga Independence Day" on August 14 in their own ways in their respective places as a special occasion by strictly observing COVID-19 SOPs.
According to UNC, Nagas are well aware that August 14 is the "Naga Independence Day", and that, the "entire Nagas in the world will be observing/commemorating the day as 75th Naga Independence Day" .
