CCP constitutes committee to manage Kabrastan in Panaji

The Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) has constituted a ten member committee to manage the day-to-day affairs and maintenance of the municipal Muslim Kabrastan, at St Inez, Panaji.

The committee was approved in the ordinary meeting of the Corporation of City of Panaji held on February 17, 2021.

The municipal Muslim Kabrastan committee will have to maintain the newly constructed premises, submit suggestions, ensure proper
conduct of final rites, maintain grave records, oversee all related matters, coordinate with the commissioner  and report to the corporation on a regular basis.

The following are the members of the Municipal Muslim Kabrastan committee namely Mohammad Modassir (IAS) retired former state election commissioner, (chairman) Morad Ahmad former Chief Town Planner, (Member Secretary) Sheikh Mustafa Kadar, president of Jama Masjid, Shaikh Jamal Anwar Hassan & company,  Sheikh Musa, Muslim wado, St Inez, Panaji, Sayed Babar, C/o Sayed Abbas, Gama building, Dr Domingo Roque, Souza Road, Panaji,  Sheikh Shamshuddin Iqbal, Fontainhas, Mala, Panaji, Shaikh Jiyaz Ahmed, Garden View Sports Vodlem Bhat, Taleigao,  Shaikh Ali Ahmed, TR Residency, St Paul, Taleigao, Shaikh Fayaz, Sitabai Complex, Bhatulem, Panaji are all members.
