Assam Rifles apprehends arms traffickers

Imphal, August 10 2021: Mantripukhri Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (South) in an joint operation with Manipur Police apprehended three arms traffickers in Tungou village, Imphal East district on August 9 .

Based on specific input, troops of Assam Rifles launched an operation which led to the apprehension of three arm traffickers along with recovery of one single bore rifle with four live rounds and two fired cases, and 48 rounds of 9mm, said a statement of IGAR(S) .

The apprehended traffickers along with recovered items were handed over to Imphal East Police Station for further investigation.
