Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 7.82 crore), Zomato Ltd. (number of shares traded: 3.07 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 2.16 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 1.95 crore), Manappuram Finance (number of shares traded: 1.55 crore), NALCO (number of shares traded: 1.39 crore), IDFC First Bank (number of shares traded: 1.33 crore), Trident Ltd (number of shares traded: 1.20 crore), PNB (number of shares traded: 1.18 crore) and Subex (number of shares traded: 0.94 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:59AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 47.05 points down at 16233.05, while BSE Sensex was down 180.03 points at 54374.63 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, JSW Steel Ltd. (up 2.33 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 2.30 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (up 1.66 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (up 1.59 per cent) and Grasim Industries Ltd. (up 0.92 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 1.66 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (down 1.56 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (down 1.40 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (down 1.37 per cent) and Cipla Ltd. (down 1.16 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
