    Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.63%

    The Nifty Bank index closed 0.63 per cent down at 35806.4.

    Investors should therefore use dips towards 15,200-15,400 to their advantage to accumulate quality largecaps and midcaps.
    NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.

    Shares of RBLBANK (up 2.87 per cent), IDFCBANK (up 2.29 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 0.74 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 0.38 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

    On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 1.8 per cent), Federal Bank (down 1.39 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank (down 1.2 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 1.05 per cent) and HDFC Bank (down 0.84 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

    The Nifty Bank index closed 0.63 per cent down at 35806.4.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 2.15 points at 16282.25, while the BSE Sensex stood down 28.73 points at 54525.93.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 ended in the green, while 26 closed in the red.

    Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zomato Ltd., SAIL and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of Ugro Capital, Hikal Ltd, Jubilant Ingrevia Ltd., Nelco Ltd and N K Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Shrenik, AKG Exim Ltd., Future Market, Network People Services Technologies Ltd. and Chaman Lal Setia hit their fresh 52-week lows.
