US eases Covid-related travel advisory for Canada
The US state department said on Tuesday it had lowered the Covid-19 related travel advisory for Canada to "Level 2 Exercise Increased Caution." In a statement, the department also said the advisory for several countries, including Vietnam, Austria and Kenya, was raised to "Level 3 – Reconsider Travel."

Even as overall new cases of Covid-19 dropped to around 28,204 on Monday, the lowest daily Covid number in 147 days, districts reporting a rising trend in daily cases increased to 37 from 18 last week (as on August 3). While Kerala continues to top the list with 11 districts reporting a surge, many districts in Tamil Nadu (7), Himachal Pradesh (6), Karnataka (5), Andhra Pradesh (2) and West Bengal (2) are also showing increase in daily cases during last two weeks.
