National Bank of Canada CEO Vachon to retire in October
Aug 11 (Reuters) - National Bank of Canada said on Wednesday that Chief Executive Officer and President Louis Vachon would retire on Oct. 31, and will be succeeded by Chief Operating Officer Laurent Ferreira.
Vachon assumed the role of CEO in June 2007 and the bank has delivered an annual shareholder return of 13% from then to July 31, 2021, according to a company statement.
Incoming CEO Ferreira has been at the bank for more than 23 years, and was appointed as the COO in February. (Reporting by Niket Nishant in Bengaluru; Editing by Sriraj Kalluvila)
