Physical Rubber prices extended gains on Tuesday due to improved demand from certain tyre makers coupled with supply constraints in the market, while covering purchases also lifted rubber sentiments. However, concerns over fast spreading of Delta variant of the coronavirus capped further gains. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 176.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 176/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained to Rs 174.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 174/ kg.
In the futures market, September delivery gained to Rs 176.60 compared to its previous closing of Rs 175.48 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
