Need 35 lakh doses a week to fully inoculate all: Karnataka government
The state government on Tuesday told the high court that if 35 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccines are supplied to the state every week, it would be possible to administer both doses to all eligible citizens within three months. The court was also told that the additional chief secretary, health and family welfare department has already written to the Union health secretary with a specific request to provide 35 lakh doses of vaccines every week so that the state can vaccinate all eligible beneficiaries within three months.

Covid-19: 1,338 new cases, 31 deaths in Karnataka
Karnataka has reported 1,338 new cases of Covid-19 and 31 deaths, taking the total number of infections to 29,21,049 and death toll to 36,848, the health department said on Tuesday. Total number of active cases in the state stood at 22,676. While the positivity rate for the day stood at 1.05 per cent, case fatality rate (CFR) was at 2.31 per cent.
