Los Angeles: Vera Farmiga starring “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” is about to hit the Indian screens. The actress, who plays Lorraine Warren, talked about her friendship with actor Patrick Wilson, who stars Ed Warren in the movie.
Farmiga, who talks about her friendship with Wilson over the past nine years of making the Conjuring films, how it has affected the relationship between Ed and Lorraine on screen, says she finds it incredible to grow older with him.
‘Patrick Wilson. Yes…. I mean, it’s amazing to grow older with my fake spouse … There’s never a lukewarm attitude when it comes to working with a costume so intensely and so intimately over time … At the risk of it being grumpy will sound, my love for old Patrick Wilson remains feverish … We are such good friends … We respect each other, ”Farmiga said.
She added: ‘We soften the relentless passage of time and the dark, emotional work we do by laughing out loud … He makes me giggle all the time, dude. We are family at this point … Patrick knows the deepest parts of me, he is in the inner circles of my life … We worship each other and we love each other’s families. ”
Farmiga shares that she has ‘a lot in common’ with Wilson.
“The deep friendship is a gift from God. I feel really blessed to have him with me in this franchise, because at the heart of The Conjuring movies is the love story between Ed and Lorraine. “After meeting and getting to know the real Lorraine Warren, the love she and Ed shared made The Conjuring different from other horror films,” said Farmiga.
The actress said she and Wilson are both grateful that over the years they have had the opportunity to grow as friends and soak up their ‘beloved characters’ with that love.
