    Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 1.86% in a weak market

    The Nifty Pharma index was trading 1.86 per cent down at 14232.65.

    India 10-year bond yield jumped 0.38 per cent to 6.03 after trading in 6.01 - 6.04 range.
    NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:24AM (IST) on Wednesday in a weak market.

    Alkem Laboratories (up 1.09 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    Lupin (down 6.01 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals (down 3.08 per cent), Biocon (down 2.76 per cent), Cadila Healthcare (down 2.0 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 1.84 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

    The Nifty Pharma index was down 1.86 per cent at 14232.65 at the time of writing this report.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 54.15 points at 16225.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 168.03 points at 54386.63.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.

    Shares of Vodafone Idea, Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, SAIL and Manappuram Finance were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of Ugro Capital, N K Industries, Repro India, KKV Agro Powers Ltd. and Hinduja Global hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Chaman Lal Setia, Andrew Yule, Stylam Ind, Shrenik and Pritika Auto Ind hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
