A senior citizen died and two others were injured in a BEST bus accident in Bhandup on Wednesday.
MUMBAI: A senior citizen died and two others were injured in a BEST bus accident in Bhandup West on Wednesday.
Officials said the deceased was identified as Pundlik Bhagat (70).
The incident occurred at Ashok Kedar Chowk, Bhandup(W) this morning. The names of those injured were given as Ravindra Tiwari, 65, and Mukesh Upadhyay, 44.
The bus was being operated from Tembhipada to Bhandup railway station west when the mishap took place.
The bus driver lost control of the vehicle and dashed the bus to an. electric meter cabin structure of a chawl and also hit an autorickshaw coming in opposite direction. A pedestrian was also hit. He sustained serious injuries to head and right hand, and was rushed to Agrawal hospital Mulund, by the police with the help of ambulance.
He was however declared dead before admission. Others who were injured were treated and allowed to go home.
