The four minute egg was very runny, and the white still soft. The five minute egg was firm on the outside and runny on the inside
The foodie's experiment revealed runny eggs, perfect for those who like to dip toast in a liquid gold centre, should be removed from the boil between four and six minutes.
People who like their eggs gooey in the middle, rather than runny, should boil them for seven or eight minutes.
And those who enjoy a hard boiled egg should leave it on the stove for nine or ten minutes bearing in mind the centre becomes chalkier the longer it's cooked.
The experts at Australian Eggs don't recommend cooking eggs for longer than eight minutes because it can cause the egg whites to go rubbery and the yolks to turn grey.
They also recommend using an egg timer for consistent results and only ever boiling one layer of eggs in a pan at once.
Australian Eggs also recommends simmering eggs for five minutes if you like them soft, five minutes for medium and eight minutes for hard.
They said gently stirring the water in a clockwise direction to help centre the egg yolks.
They also say it is important not to boil the water too hard, recommending a soft simmer for best results, rather than have a furiously boiling pot like the TikTok user.
Despite going against some of the egg experts' advice the TikTokkers boiled egg tutorial quickly went viral and has been seen more than 1.2million times.

The six minute eggs was only slightly runny on the inside while the seven minute egg was soft on the inside

The eight minute egg appeared to be a favourite among people in the foodie's comment section
Her fans appeared divided over the proper way to serve an egg - with some claiming four and five minutes produced the best eggs while others preferred an eight-minute egg.
'Anyone who has there eggs below seven minutes is crazy,' one man wrote on the post.
But people soon responded to the comment arguing the runny yolk was an important part of a boiled egg.

The hard boiled nine and ten minute eggs are firm all the way through
'If it isn't runny you can't dip your toast in,' one woman said.
Mon Mack has previously done a video on how to boil eggs well.
She adds the cold eggs to boiling water, before setting her egg timer.
She then takes them from the boiling water and puts them into a bowl of cold water - this makes them easier to peel.
