NEW DELHI: Shares of Rex Pipes and Cables Industries Ltd., Pritika Auto Ind, Network People Services Technologies Ltd., Repro India and Kshitij Polyline, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 21.85 points up at 16280.1 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Stylam Ind, Grauer & Weil, Andrew Yule, Viceroy Hotels and Bright Solar, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 19 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 30 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra, HDFC, Kotak Bank and M&M were among top gainers during the day, while Shree Cements, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Power Grid and Indian Oil Corp. ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 151.81 points up at 54554.66.

Traders piled up positions in Diversified, Telecommunications, Retail, IT Software and Hospitals & Allied Services sectors, while selling was witnessed in Petrochemicals, Packaging, Power, Sugar and Learning & Education sectors during the day.
