Essendon Bombers legend and Seven News sports reporter Tim Watson makes a $1million profit after selling his Albert Park property
Almost one month after listing it on the property market, AFL great Tim Watson has closed a huge deal on his marvellous Albert Park pad.
The 16 Dundas Place home sold for an undisclosed amount that was greater than the $3.5million Tim and his wife, Susie, were hoping for, reports realestate.com.au.
The Melbourne property was sold at a virtual auction, as confirmed by Marshall White Port Phillip partner Sarah Wood.

Watson, 60, who played 307 career games for the Bombers and is now a Seven News sports presenter, purchased the house with his wife in 2014 for $2.17 million.
The couple divide their time between a holiday home outside of Melbourne and a property in an inner-city suburb.

'Over 100 people had come through to inspect it before lockdown,' she said. 'Both the purchaser and vendor were very happy with the result.'

Ms Wood revealed two bidders hotly contested for the double-fronted home.
The period home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms on a single floor, an open fireplace in the living room, and an arched hallway with high ceilings and timber floors.
Nearby is a trendy modern kitchen with stone benchtops and an island bench.
The property also includes a bluestone-paved veranda and courtyard with built-in seating and a barbecue.

Watson was one of Essendon's most prominent players. He notched up 307 matches from the late '70s to the mid '90s and captained the side from 1989 to 1991.
He is also the father of former Bombers midfielder Jobe Watson.
After his retirement in 1994, he became a sports presenter and commentator for Channel Seven in Melbourne.
