Man assaulted, robbed of bike and cash by unidentified assailants in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A man lodged a complaint with Chandrayangutta police in Hyderabad alleging that he and his friend were assaulted by a group of unidentified persons on Monday night at Ghouse Nagar area.
The complainant also alleged that the assailants took away his motorbike, two cellphones and Rs 30,000 cash from them.
As per the police, G Sudhakar (24), a driver by profession, alleged that when he was travelling on a bike with his friend Suresh towards Errakunta to have dinner on Monday night, their vehicle hit a scooter near Shaheen Nagar bus stop.
Sudhakar and Suresh did not stop at the accident spot and continued to ride towards Errakunta.
When they reached MM Colony in Ghouse Nagar, four men came on three two-wheelers and intercepted them.
"Sudhakar alleged that the men assaulted them and forcibly took away his bike, their two cell phones and Rs 30,000 cash," a police officer said.
Based on the complaint, a robbery case was registered under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
A man hunt was launched to nab the offenders.
