Imphal, August 09 2021: Altogether six police officers and personnel have been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG) and Union Home Minister's Medal for Excellence in Police Training, 2018-19.According to a press release issued by PRO Police Department, Inspector B Lungthang Vaiphai, OC Wangoi Police Station has been awarded 4th BAR to PMG while Havildar Md Samadur Rahaman (attached to Bishnupur commando) has been awarded PMG.

The 4 others who have been awarded Union Home Minister's Medal for Excellence in Police Training, 2018-19 are Jemadar K Priyojit Singh, Rifleman Th Digboy Singh, Rifleman W Surjit Singh and Rifleman Kh Tomba Singh.

They will receive the award on the occasion of Independence Day 2021 .
