Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 3.47 crore), JCT Ltd (number of shares traded: 0.42 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.33 crore), Indian Info Sof (number of shares traded: 0.31 crore), Future Consumer (number of shares traded: 0.26 crore), Maha Corp Ltd (number of shares traded: 0.24 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 0.22 crore), Brightcom Group (number of shares traded: 0.20 crore), Reliance Power (number of shares traded: 0.19 crore) and Future Retail (number of shares traded: 0.18 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:14AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 62.1 points up at 16320.35, while BSE Sensex was up 248.51 points at 54651.36 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (up 1.95 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 1.33 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (up 1.11 per cent), Titan Company Ltd. (up 1.05 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (up 0.91 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Shree Cements Ltd. (down 3.47 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 1.64 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd. (down 1.00 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (down 0.64 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd. (down 0.60 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
