Covid-19: Over 450 new cases, three deaths in Telangana

HYDERABAD: Telangana recorded 453 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths on Monday even as the number of active cases in the state stood at 8,242. The total count of cases since the beginning of the pandemic last year stands at 6,49,859 and the death toll stands at 3,842.
The number of active containment zones in the state stands at 27. Jagtiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have majority of the active containment zones in the state.
A total of 614 patients were declared recovered on Monday, taking the total count of recovered patients to 6,37,789. The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58% while the recovery rate stands at 98.14% now. So far, 79.9% of overall cases in the state have been asymptomatic while 20.1% have been symptomatic.
The GHMC recorded 68 cases on Monday.
